and now I put the key in the ignition and it won't turn. Tried both keys, its like the thing is locked. Is my ignition switch broken? Why would it do that all of a sudden? Any suggestions? Ideas?

spray WD-40 into it, useing the red tube, and try the switch again
It's rare the tumblers lock up, but it does happen.

try turning the wheel slightly while turning the ignition key. What might had happen is that when the car is off and you turn the wheel the wheel locks up after turning it, therefore you have to find the sweet spot to where the locking mechanism unlocks from the ignition switch. any questions let me know

could be the steering wheel is locked....move it back and forth and see what happens as you try to work the key in...

its a long shot that the ignition switch is broken in such a short life...but then again it is a chevy...

Did you try turning the steering wheel as you were trying to get the key to turn? sometimes the wheel doesn't fully lock and won't let the key turn.

This sounds crazy but it happened to me. Make sure the car is in park. If the gear is not all the way in park the car want start.

tried moving the steering wheel around?? my steering wheel locks up sometimes and want let me crank my car...

yank the wheel hard left then right while turing key
