Last night on the Grammy Awards the only bands that came out were the Police and Red Hot Chili Peppers which made a remark during thier acceptance speech *We need more bands*
The 60's 70's 80's gave us the Best Bands ever such as:
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zepplin
The Rolling Stones
Chicago
Doobie Brother's
Steely Dan
Pink Floyd
Santana
U-2
Speed up to today's music and we have no more great bands in the making, where are they?

All you have today are great singers and studio musicians..

I agree with you!!!
I mean even Police And RHCP, are not so GOOD bands, can you compare them with Chicago, or FLOYD?
Nope!
I think the whole reason with the death of the real powerful music like Rock And Roll from 60s and 70s even 80s is that some kind of process of individualization, electronics and communications made the human so grow away from the others...Why someone needs a friend when he/she has her/his mobile phone or Internet or PC games usualy killing haunting and destroying ?
In a society like this , the friendship, the true love and the equality is gone, it's all about money, Internet, interests, .There is no one who will and can tell you , lets go around the country and have a nice tripp around the mountains villages lakes and stuff, without no money (only auto-stop) , in a short way "Let's go and have an adventure"

This will never happen in a society that we live in, but we can change that, and we can help rock & roll, and rejuvenate it :)
Peace !!!
