Hemlocks are native to the USA and Canada, and Eastern Asia. I could be wrong, but I believe the most commonly-cultivated one is the Canadian or Eastern Hemlock, Tsuga canadensis. None are native to Europe, but they have been introduced into various European countries.
Most cypresses are native to Eastern Asia and the west coast of the USA. Some are native to Central and desert America. The Italian Cypress, the most common true Cypress, Cupressus sempervirens, is native to the mediterranean regions of Europe.
The arborvitaes (genus Thuja) are native to the US (both coasts) and to China.
Many of the Spruces (Picea) and the Firs (Abies) are from Europe and Western Asia, but not all.
The True Cedars, Atlas Cedar, Cedar of Lebanon, and Deodar Cedar, are natives of Central Asia, Western Asia and the Mediterranean.
