Poor thing! You need to get an second opionion or get her to a specialist right away! It shounds like your child could have G.I problems.

I would have suggested if it was normal constipation to feed him an 1/2 ounce kero suryp with nursery water. Good luck!

My daughter was VERY bound up when she was a baby. I had to do the glycerin suppositories more than once on her. But I took the advice of the old wives and did the Karo thing. I put a little squirt in every bottle that she had. It kept her going just fine. as she started eating food at 4 months, she needed less and less of the Karo. I also gave her what we called a "prune smoothie" which was 1/2 container of stage 1 prunes, small squirt of Karo, and enough water to make it very thin. she just drank it out of a bottle. She had that every other day or so.
She is not ten months and has NO trouble.
It sounds like your baby's problem's may be more complicated than that......but it cannot hurt to try some harmless home remedies.
Good Luck!

p.s.
ignore the idiots with the mean responses. some people are just trying to get their 2 points by being stupid.

Since I now know that you have taken her to a doctor, there are a few other things you could do or consider. Is she getting enough food? Is she getting the right food? Sometimes different formulas won't react well with certain infants. As another answerer said, you could try making her some sugar water or giving her some apple or other fruit juice, or diluting a small amount of benefiber powder into some water for her. It's tasteless, won't cause excess gas as other fibers sometimes will, and I'm almost fairly certain that it would be safe for her. Ask your doctor though. I believe there are children's laxatives too. Good luck.
EDIT: I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence with my original answer. There is no need to start calling me a low-life because I simply suggested you take her to a doctor. You didn't state that you had taken her to a doctor and gotten no help, so I didn't know. You would be surprised the dumb things people will say they have done or haven't done on Y! Answers. Don't get hostile here. I wasn't demeaning you or anything.

Baby constipation is a more common problem than many parents realize. Just as with adults, constipation in babies is characterized by having difficulty passing stools. On the other hand, symptoms of constipation cannot necessarily be recognized by how often the baby has a bowel movement because this changes from child to child and depends on the baby’s age as well. I work for the Global Healing Center, and we talk to people with this issue many times a day. My suggestion is to educate your self, the following is a good link for you to use, as it has allot of really good information:

I wish you the best and I send you positive energy and my prayers. Good luck!

i have the same problem . Go to wal mart in the pharmacy and get children laxative. Figure up the dose. Give it to them twice a day. like it says. I have tried karo and it did not work but this did. You can also talk to your doc about changing formula. i did that to but it did not work for me

an old thing that was done by our granmothers is to use the cotton buds with warmed olive oil and try to move it around the anus and on its sides..and there is another way which is to give her the water of the boiled EGYPTIAN rice..
i swear its a verygood thing try it and u will never feel sorry for it..
hope she will get better soon..

is she getting enough to eat. is she getting enough to drink? are you breastfeeding? or giving her formula? get another opinion.the type of formula maybe is not agreeing with her. When I changed to formula with one of mine he got constipated. then I went to the liquid formula instead of the dry mix and he was fine. I breastfed before this and it was the change to the powdered formula that did not agree with him.
Also a barium enema can constipate very badly. get another opinion. you have the right to see other drs.

I really have no idea what that could possibly be - but have you tried putting like karosyrup in her bottles or making her sugar water? Even a little diluted apples juice won't hurt.
