The best bet for you is to use a condom. If taking birth control, the antibiotics will counteract with it and you can and may become pregnant. Also, by having sex with your partner, you can spread the yeast infection to him and any medication that you are currently using to get rid of the yeast infection will be ineffective. Hope this helps.

Personally I think if anything it can cause one. If the conditions of the vagina are already that she's on the verging of getting a yeast infection, I think that sex just agitiates it and can bring it along quicker. There are some people who believe that having sex in a way 'rubs' the bacteria in, basically causing the yeast infection. The idea is to balance out the vagina and the body to prevent yeast infections, so I don't thinkt hat making it more acidic is necessarily the answer, a balance between the two needs to be found.

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

You can pass the infection to him. I suggest you forget about having sex and wait for the infection to clear. Valentines comes every year. It's just another Hallmark holiday to make money. You can have Valentines any day you want with the one you love.

you can give him the yeast infection which he can keep passing back to you. It's really best to hold off on sex until you are well.

well you can give your man a yeast infction too. i'm sure he'll be fine with a rain check. a yeast infection is NOT HOT. really kinda gross. i'm sure he'll get over not gettin some on valentine's day. he might not be so forgiving if you give him the infection. yuck.

I think its a bad idea. You could pass the infection on to him, not to mention it might hurt! You might just want to wait on the sex.

I've done it, and nothings bad has happend to him. Plus the bacteria does not live long on the male, it dies quickly. But I would suggest to use a condom, just to be on the safe side.
