My favorite to wear for baseball practice was sweats or wind pants that have elastic at the ankles, comfortable tennis shoes for inside or spikes (cleats) for outside, a t-shirt under a tighter fitting sweatshirt, or a long sleave t-shirt under a cut off sweatshirt. a mitt is a must, and for women a sports bra is prolly a good idea. if you have long hair put it in a pony tail, and wearing a hat if you are outside might be a good idea. otherwise just make sure your hair is out of your face. bring water to drink, batting gloves if you have them...try to get some as soon as possible, but if you dont have them dont worry on the first day usually you start with more basics like running and conditioning to get everyone in shape. just make sure your comfortable running in the clothes you wear.

RE:
What should I wear to my first softball practice?
Tomorrow I start softball for the first time, and we haven't gotten uniforms yet.
So what should I wear?
The practice is at 6 PM so should I wear pants, jeans, or shorts?
And what kind of equipment should I bring?

It might depend on whether or not you are outside or indoors. Definitely wear sweat pants and bring a pair of shorts you could change into if you'll be indoors (you might feel warm). Have your glove, something to hold your hair back, a towel, I guess it would be smart to wear a sports bra, and you could bring a softball bat if you have one but it isn't necessary. If you'll be outside bring cleats just in case but you'll want sneakers if you'll be doing exercise and/or running. Finally, make sure you have water to keep yourself hydrated.

Go for total comfort. pants you can run in and stuff, and since it is day one, you may not be running so dress warm. Bring any special equipment you have like Helmets/masks/bats on your first real practice. as for shirts, go t shirt and a jacket or sweatshirt

GET SOME SOFTBALL CLEATS SO YOU DONT SLIDE ALL OVER THE PLACE. UNLESS THEY PROVIDE GLOVES THEN GET A GOOD QUALITY SOFTBALL GLOVE AND PUT YOUR NAME IN IT WITH PERMANENT INK. DONT WEAR FLOPPY CLOTHING CAUSE IT CAN HINDER FIELDING AND THROWING. WEAR JEANS, AND DONT SWING AT JUST ANYTHING. WAIT FOR THE BALL TO COME DOWN TO A PERFECT POSITION SO YOU CAN HIT THE BALL SOLID IN THE CENTER OF THE BALL IF YOU HIT UNDER THE BALL IT CAUSES POP UPS AND HITTING UP TOO FAR ON THE BALL CAUSES GROUNDERS. AND DONT TRY TO HIT AND RUN AT THE SAME TIME. GET A GOOD HIT AND THEN THE RUNNING SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC AFTER SECURING A GOOD SOLID HIT. AS A BASE RUNNER ALWAYS BE ALERT.

Yes that sounds perfect, whatever is comfy for you. And if you have bangs or shorter hair near your eyes i suggest a head band!! because it will get annoying!
