In high school I experimented with females...it only went as far as "first base" and I don't consider myself bi-sexual. I'm curious to know why some females consider their selves bi-sexual when all they have done is kiss a girl? I ,personally, think if you are willing to have oral sex with the same sex then you can consider yourself bi-sexual? What do you think?

I'm just curious because the girls I know all seem to claim they are bi-sexual because the guys think it's "hot". I find some women very attractive (I'd love to lock lips with Angelina Jolie); but I don't feel that makes me bi-sexual...

A lot of people define their sexuality by their attractions, not experiences. When a person claims to be bisexual, what they are saying is that they are attracted to both men and women - not necessarily equally. Many bisexual people choose to be monogamous, but still have attractions to both sexes and continue to identify as bisexual.

You don't have to do ANYTHING with the same sex to be considered bisexual. All bisexuality is, like any other sexual orientation, is your desires, whether or not you've acted on them (take it from me, a bisexual virgin- I've never even kissed a girl, but I know I'm bisexual, because I'm attracted to both them and men).

Similarly, you can have sex with the same gender and still not be gay or bisexual- because if you don't desire them, that's that. Sexual orientation (who you want) is different than sexual behavior (who you actually do sleep with, for whatever reason).

Hope that makes sense!

sexual orientation and sexual activity are two different things..

orientation really comes down to feelings. if you are genuinely attracted to men and women, if you genuinly feel you are capable of being attracted to one or the other, if you crave a romantic relationship with one or the other, and if you crave sex with one or the other, then you are bi.. whether you actually follow thru with sexual activity really doesn't matter.

usually, bi-curious people feel the need to get physical in order to prove to themselves what they feel.. and in some cases, kissing may be enough to prove it..

in your case, if you didn't feel anything from your kiss, then that's fine, you have correctly identified yourself as not bisexual.

i had my first man-to-man experiment a few weeks ago, and although we didn't go all the way, we went far enough for me to satisfy my feelings that i really am bi.

furthermore, having oral sex won't necessarily mean you are bi. what if you have oral sex and decide you don't like it?

bottom line, society seems obsessed with labels. we all seem to have to make up our minds quickly as to whether we are straight, gay, or bi. but in reality, the only label i need is my own name.

In all honesty, you are which ever orientation you are based on what you are attracted to and what you are willing to do with them (while sober, because alcohol and drugs make you do weird things). many people believe that they are bisexual because they can have fantasies of other women/men, though they might not kiss/go further with the same sex than they'd like to.
sometimes mental fantasies are the only things that people can do to relieve lust.
sometimes people's orientation is hidden, other times it's out for the world to see, it just all depends on the person.
