Does most of this money come from U.S. based international corporations (i.e Coca-Cola; Nabisco; etc.)? If so, does anyone have an accurate, relatively recent dollar amount from any particular year?

You can actually look up this information about candidates as they have to report exactly who gives them money if it is above a certain amount (something like $1,000). Major corporations, labor unions, political action committees, public service organizations, and wealthy individuals all contribute to political campaigns for a variety of reasons.

Some get contributions from corporations, big business, lobbiests, and from countries that want them to carry out their particular countries foreign policy without them being directly involved. A lot of the elections are bought.

it is actually a loan on behalf of the federal reserve than they do a charge back to the iraqis. talk about evil. there is a link to a movie called iraq for sale it is brutal you can take it from my blog http://ca.360.yahoo.com/antiwar_girl

the bottom line is these corporations are doing so much waste since the bill will be handed to the iraqis. watch it horribly sad.

Every candidate has to file where their money comes from. It a law. Most Corp. donate to both sides, an equal amt. Called cover you ***.

I take it you are not one to send money to your favorite candidate, I find that hard to believe. Almost every one does one way or another.

$34 million+ each in the 2000 election, thank you multinational corporations for buying our government..would you like some biggie-size fries with that?

Its all though donations. Private, PAc and Corporate.

You will find that most major companies give to both sides, kind of "Hedging their bets."

Republicans get most of theirs from business's.Democrats get theirs from special interest groups,(unions, NAACP,Environmentalists etc.)
