Why does the 'bear community' only go for clones of themselves & refuse to befriend men who are clean shaven?

This is a generalization.

I know bears who only date bears, and bears who only date otters, and bears who only date non-bears.

However, it does tend to be the rule that many people tune their appearance to the type they want to attract. This is why, for example, people looking for leather/rough guys will often cultivate a rougher image.

It takes all types.

I have many friends who are clean-shaven. I don't have sex with them. Perhaps you are confusing the two?

I've wondered this myself. It's disappointing for me, since some bears are really hot. I'm smooth and clean shaven. :)

That's quite a generalization you have going there.

Personally, I know several Bears, they date other Bears as well as Smoothies, Leathers, etc.

I think bears prefer to be with other bears mainly due to the fact that they feel more comfortable with somebody of the same body type as them. they feel better and free'er with this type of man.
+bearism is an elitist state. you have to earn to be a bear.

I didn't know they did that. I was under the impression that bears were often attracted to one another, or attracted to twinky younger guys.

Who can explain why anyone has such a specific attraction?

They don't.
If they want nothing to do with you, it's you that is the problem, not them. You are so very often to attempt to blame others for problems but the commonality tends to be YOU.
