Hard to say without seeing the rest of the team, but I suspect that Sizemore will be more valuable to most teams. He should hit 30 HRs, bat .315ish, he should score 120 plus, he could bat in 70 -90. This could go up if he ends up hitting third (unlikely rumor)His only weekness COULD be steals. His manager doesn't let him run much. I am afraid that he might only steal 20 even though he has potential to do 40. Zambrano is a great pitcher but I don't think he will perform as high in as many categories as Sizemore. Sizemore is particularly valuable in roto leagues where you have max number of games for each position.

Is it Carlos Zambrano or Victor Zambrano because if its Carlos Zambrano then I'd take Carlos but I would take Grady Sizemore over Victor Zambrano.
Carlos Zambrano Has a dynamite fastball that hits High 90's and posted a high win total and low era despite being on a poor cubs team.

grady is the ultimate 5 tool player and zambrano is probably a better hitter than consistant pitcher at this point i had him last year and he would pitch great then do awful for his next 2 or 3 starts sizemore is one of the most coveted fantasy players especially in rotis leagues i would definatley either trade for or keep sizemore if i already had him heck zambrano hit more homeruns than he had wins last year

It really depends on the make-up of your team. If you are weak in pitching and have plenty of offense in the outfield why not but Sizemore is the safer bet. He will be better than last year with improved power; some of his 52 doubles will turn into homeruns. He will have a.300 avg., 30 hrs., and 30 steals, plus 40 something doubles. Zambrano's stats have continued to improve over the past 3 years steadily but pitchers tend to be less consistent than position players. I believe Zambrano will be playing in a contract year so that could mean he will up his game further but that might also raise his chance of pushing himself too far causing an injury. You could pick up lots of solid pitchers later in the draft like Jered Weaver, Smoltz, Bonderman, Verlander and even Matsuzaka (if you buy the hype). You might even want to take a chance on Homer Bailey and/or Philip Hughes who should make a nice impact when they finally play this season.

This is a no brainer...

Take Sizemore.

In a scratch draft this year, Sizemore is going in the second/third round (in a 12 team league) while zambrano is going in the fourth.

zambrano is not strong in all pitching categories. his 4.5 walks/9 give him an average WHIP. So he only contributes to W, ERA, and Ks.

Sizemore's .290 average should improve, along with his HR and RBI totals to go with it. He will steal you some bags, and led the MLB in Runs last year.

Outfield is also not that deep.

Go with Sizemore.... DEFINITELY!!!

wow whoever has big z DO NOT TRADE HIM. pitchers are much harder to come by in fantasy sports. he gets a lot of walks, sure, but he also has a great era, pitches a ton of innings, and gets a ton of k's. but sizemore... sure he did decent last year, but i cant see him doing better this year, and the major leagues is pretty deep at center field, so you should definatly get someone with the same kind of stats, if not better, whether it be from a trade or from waivers. i would recommend that you pick up felix pie when he starts strating this year, becuase i cant imagine murton keeping his spot much longer.

NO. do not trade away sizemore. he is super at runs, stolen bases, BA, and is improving at home runs. remember, he is becoming a mvp candidate, while zambrano is languishing on the cubs. buy high, for a top pitcher.

Carlos Zambrano is a good pitcher and if you can get him that would definitely help you in the pitching department.

Carlos Zombrano would be the better pick just look at his era and w/l record the only reason he may be under the radar is because he plays for the cubs.
