A 120GB 4200 RPM is a very good hard drive for a notebook. The 120GB provides you with a great volume of storage, and a big hunk of battery power.
I would not recommend this hard drive if you were going to play games though, as 4200 RPM's are lower speed, which while increases battery life, isn't fast enough to support some of the higher end games that require a fast hard drive.
Hope this helps.

The size is fine, but the speed is slow.
Thry to get a 5400rpm or 7200rpm
I would rather have a 100gb 5400/7200 rpm since it really affects performance of the pc.
Also, check to see the cache size. Should be 8 mb or larger.

Thats OK, but 2 GB or larger is better. Unless you are getting a computer with the new VISTA OS. You should insist on between 3 and 5 GB. the faster the "platter spin" speed the better.
