As a Viking fan my biased answer is Bud Grant, who coached the Vikings to four Super Bowls. He was a real man, who wouldn't let guys use heaters on the sidelines during those cold games in the old, outdoor Met Stadium.
Objectively, a strong case could be made for Belichick, who has dominated consistently during an era that is probably the most difficult for coaches. First, due to free agency, it is hard to keep the core of a dynasty; as soon as you win a Super Bowl everyone wants to be paid like a superstar. Second, the competitive dynamic today is the most challenging ever, and a coach has to constantly revise his playbook and strategy and personnel, something that Belichick is a master at doing. Finally, coaching the modern player is different than coaching guys like Art Shell and Jim Brown and Walter Peyton. You have to contend with prima dona wide receivers, drug using flakes, and players who have no sense of teamwork.
Belichick has dominated in the most challenging era, so he deserves the nod.

Joe Gibbs. He won 3 superbowls with 3 different Qbs and 3 different Hbs. Who would bellichek be without brady nobody just another coach. Lombardi was a great coach but just because he won the first two superbowls doesnt make him the greatest.
