I wouldn't be scared.. if the docs didn't schedule you a closer u/s then that means they are not worried that you will lose the baby. If the heartbeat looks great.. then that is wonderful. I know you can always go to labor and delivery and do an nst.. or anytime you are worried and want to go in.. go to the emergency and tell them whats going on and they will do an u/s for you. I am praying all goes well for you. Never say you don't deserve a healthy baby.. you have tried for years and that alone should make you deserve a healthy baby. Everyone deserves a healthy baby. I hope all goes well and like I said if you feel scared or anything call your doctor and tell him or even go to the er. I know some docs have the heartbeat monitors they rent out to some patients so if you ever get scared you can just plug in the monitor find your babies heartbeat and you will be reassured... goodluck and hope all goes well for you

sweetie..i believe that God has a reason for everything. there was a reason why it took u so long to conceive. it wasn't time yet. and as for the heart beat. it won't be the same all the time, it will slow some, because the baby is growing. and when the baby is sleeping it beats slower,it could be that u did the u/s at the time the baby was taking a "snooze"... but i think that God Forbid, something happens, u will know it, if u miscarry u will know it, u will have cramps and such. so just be strong, and pray and I wish u guys all the best in the world!

I understand. It took us 2.5 years to conceive, and throughout my pregnancy, I worried that something would go wrong. But now I have a healthy 8 month old daughter. You'll be just the same, in a few short months! Most embryos that don't have a heartbeat at 9 weeks, never had a heartbeat to begin with. The fact that you have seen one is a VERY good sign and your chances of miscarriage have decreased. Relax and enjoy your pregnancy. And if you still need reassurance, rent one of those dopplers so you can listen to your baby's heartbeat whenever you want. Try bellybeats.com. :o)

I'm no expert, but I just had my first baby, so I've done alot of reading up while I was pregnant. I would think you would know if you miscarriaged. If you have alot of bleeding and cramping--CALL THE DOCTOR! Some cramping is normal because your body is changing. I was very paranoid also at first. Also, its normal for the heart rate to be up and down at times. It just depends on how relaxed/active the baby is. Good Luck!! Pregnancy is such a wonderful experience!!

I hope you are a Christian and that you believe in God. Even if you aren't I am and I know my God answers my prayers so...
Father, In the matchless name of Jesus, I pray that your peace be upon this woman. Now that you have blessed her with the expectation of the desire of her heart, please let your mercy continue. Bless the baby and let it be born full term, whole and beautiful. There is nothing too hard for you Lord. I ask in your name, knowing you promised not to withhold any good thing from your children. Nevertheless, as in all things, I also pray that your will be done, whatever the outcome, for that is best. Give the doctors wisdom and knowledge and a bedside manner that is patient and kind. Let them be aware of what they say and do and give them the common sense to keep this mother informed in words she can understand. Then Lord, encourage her heart as she goes through this incredible journey to bring forth the life only you can give. Let her also dedicate the child to you with thanksgiving after the birth. I believe Lord that you hear and answer my prayers, so I praise you for this miracle in advance.
In Jesus' name,
Amen.
Now go forth in peace and wait to inherit your miracle. Print out this prayer for strength. There is nothing special about the prayer or the one who prayed it, except faith. I believe that you will receive exceedingly above all you could think or ask and that this miracle will happen to increase your faith.
God bless you, your husband, and your baby.

you are having normal feelings.. but as your baby gets older even in the uterus the heart rate will be slower...and it will depend on how active the baby is also...the second sonogram could have been while the baby was resting...talk with your ob/gyn he or she should have plenty of prenatal pamplets that can calm your fears and answer any of your questions...i wish you well and you do deserve a heathy baby... you sounds as though you really want a child...good luck

I am scared too. I have no reason to be so, but I just want my child to be born as healthy as can be. I think to some degree every mom worries about having an unhealthy baby. Good luck. And please know that you are not alone.

Your fine! Baby's heartrates differ at different times. Just like us, when we run or do alot of exercise, our heartrates go up. When we relax or sleep, it goes down.
Just relax. Stress isn't good for you or the baby. IF something were to go wrong, your body would inform you. Trust your body and your own instncts. And BREATHE!!!

I'm sure you'll be fine and if you were to have a miscarriage you would start to bleed and that is when you would go to the hospital and your doctor will tell you what is going on. but don't worry you'll be fine just keep going to all of your appointments and you'll be fine.
