Not in the strictest sense of the word, but have I accepted a ride from a stranger - Yes. And along the way, I called my husband and gave him a full description of the driver and his car and the license number. The driver and I had a good laugh over that...fortunately.

I got a ride from an ex-boy friend once at 2:30 in the morning going home.He and I had a loooong talk.I was so embarrased.It was ok.
Now,I carry a cell phone!Broke down too many times!

I hitchhiked from Eugene, Oregon to Crescent City, California...now that was fun.

No I did walk to downtown the other day. It's like a block away and I had people who stopped and asked if I wanted a ride. I was really just doing it for the exercise.

I have never stuck my thumb out when broken down, but I have taken a ride when it was offerred while walking. I got stuck in lColumbus OH once without a vehicle, and thumbed a ride to Pittsburgh, though.

NO WAY! who knows the person your getting in the car with these days.... I would call a taxi or family member first

nope the only time i hitched was me and my best friend when we were kids and the guy was smoking rock and wanted to know if we wanted to score some more we were like ummmm you can let us off here we'll walk the rest of the way
