Virus scanners interfere with installations usually.
When installing, close all un-neccissary programs, do not surf the net, disable virus scanner, install program, then re-activate virus scanner.

That happened to me too until I realized that someone got me the DVD Rom edition when at the time I didn't have a DVD Rom. I had to go to the store an exchange it for the regular edition and it the uploaded perfectly fine.
This may not be your problem but it's worth putting out there, just in case. Good luck it's a great game that's even more addicting then the first.

hello be careful with those Sims video games coz they cut back to rubble u'r workstation. My sister offered the Sims 2 sport and it put in yet after a mutually because it starts off to crash & they make u'r workstation incredibly sluggish and it takes 4 ever to coach off.

Hi,
You can download The Sims 4 for free here: http://bit.ly/1oheB2Q
It is a game special made for non-gamers like me because the tools are very user-friendly and you can customize each character
It's a very nice game.

I had the same problem, and it took me three trys to get it into my computer. The trick I used was that the entire time that the game was installing I kept hitting the space bar. Hope this helps good luck!
