when you put the shell to your ear, it only sounds like youre hearing the ocean.some people say youre hearing the sound of blood rushing through your body. that has been proven wrong.youre really hearing noise from around you. The seashell that you are holding captures this noise. You don't even need the seashell to hear the noise. You can make the same "ocean" sound using an empty cup or even by cupping your hand over your ear. Go ahead and try !

you dont hear the ocean, what youre actually hearing is your own heart rate echoing in the shell from the arteries in your ear.
it sounds supsingly like the waves crashing.
