1. The myth that God DOESN'T exist.
2. The story that elementary school kids tell about the ghost that lives in the bathroom and that you can conjure her up by turning off the lights and spinning around.

I find it very sad that people are ridiculed for believing in something. Most of the time it is because they cannot prove it is true, but no one can prove that it is not. I find this an upsetting world where we no longer value the opinion of others, where we no longer feel comfortable saying what we believe in out of fear of being ridiculed. Aristotle said; "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." Our world is full of ignorance.

There is one I learned when I was in Europe, mostly in Germany and Iceland, that you NEVER light a cigerette or napkin or anything from an already lit candle. They say if you take light from the candle, you kill a fishermans soul. And if people arent familar with Iceland, most of the population are fishermen. And as for Germany, dont know why about the fisherman, dont know if there are a lot of them out there, but its said there as well.
