Yes, our kids keep us in each other's lives. Also, my mom {laughing}. The first Xmas after our divorce, mom invited my ex to our family Xmas. I told her it might be kind of weird for both him and me, but she insisted he had to be there to watch the kids open their presents. I'm like....ummmm...mom...the kids are in their 20's!!! {laughing} I think they can open a gift on their own. But she insisted. It's been 7 years now, and he still comes every Xmas.

He also sees my family at least 3-4 times a month. I moved out of town when I remarried, so now my ex sees my kids and mom more than I do!

That is a big Negative! We are civil, I guess you would say because of the kids. But most of the time I have to communicate with his wife, because he won't talk to me. Which I guess is okay, as long as the houselholds can communicate in regards to the kids. Time may fix some of the bitterness, but there will never be a point where I say that we coud be friends. It is what it is.

There are reasons why they are now ex. I no longer befriended with them as soon as the realtionship is over. For what? There's nothing good for me or them. If they're so great they wouldn't be my ex. I have enough guy friends that I never slept with.

The girls most of the time always want too be friends with the guy post breakup.
But if you were a total dousche to her, she wont want to.
If the guy doesn't attempt to keep a friendship going;
she won't think you're interested.

No, I don't talk to any ex....

Why...because I feel that those are ties in your life that dictate and/or control other aspects of your life...even future relationships....

So, people say that they can handle it, but I say that what is the point of talking to someone that you were intimately involved with (whether emotionally or physically or both)....There is no point in continually linking yourself to past relationships....when you are trying to move on with your life....
