And what are the masses disapproving of?

1. That he took us into war in the first place?
2. That he didn't have a plan in place to win once we got there?
3. That he refused to listen to the voices of reason that told him he was wrong to think we would have to do nothing more than just march in, kill Saddam, and everyone in Iraq would love us?
4. That he stubbornly stood by his "Stay the Course" mentality long after most of America knew the "course" was leading to hell in a handbasket?

I say . . . all of the above. What say you?

I say we are still staying the course and even "augmenting" the troops. What's changed? Our soldiers are being used as cannon fodder. I also agree with one, two and three. Worst administration I have seen in thirty five years. An abandonment of the American people in the pursuit of power and money.

Because, when one body controls most of a certain sector in society it is called a monopoly. The reason monopolies have such a bad reputation is that whoever controls that particular sector controls a small portion of a persons life, to a degree that is beyond what is acceptable. If MacDonald’s had a monopoly on food in the country there wouldn’t be much objective talk of healthier eating, unless of course MacDonald’s approved of what was being said. It is a know fact that the media in America is controlled by mostly left leaning people. So, it follows that if the media found something that goes against what they believe it would be harder for said piece of information to propagate throughout the country. If the media wanted to paint someone in a negative light all that would need to be done is tell someone in New York what is going on in LA, since they are the only way for information to move, it is hard for me to say that the information is genuine. How could I know, LA is thousands of miles away. That is main reason President Bush is attacked by the media. Yes, Bush is no perfect leader, but what the media tells us and what really goes on are two completely different things. In the American news media Truth is merely a byproduct of the news. The object of a newspaper is to sell news papers, if all they did was report what happened it would make for some pretty lousy news, but if they can pep it up, which they most certainly can, they could take a news report on a farmer’s strike and convince the American people that a new Great Depression is about to happen, how would the reader know other wise? In doing so they could tell people the best course of action is to buy stock in the framer’s union and now they‘ve succeeded in getting you to act complacently, isn’t that amazing. It happens all the time. How many times have you read something in the news that caused you to act in a certain way? Look at Y2K, the news media caused people to start building bomb shelters, what happened? It is simple, the news media demonizes President Bush and people buy into it. Are you sitting in on the staff meeting in the White House? If not then take everything the media tells you with a grain of salt. Don’t let people control your mind.

I say it can't be only Democrats, but I do believe there to be some sampling bias there.

However, people pick and choose their reasons, but Democrats must acknowledge some things:
1) Congress backed the war at it's start, including Democrats
2) Nothing is simple in war, it's not like he could have just deposed a dictator and not thought the place would have some slip ups
3) We didn't kill Saddam, that wasn't the point of the war (according to all sources) and so far I've seen no other evidence to start the war
4) The negative implications of just leaving the place greatly outweigh those of staying the course... but as soon as the president had a new plan, since everyone hated his original one so much, they start claiming to vote against it...

Let's face it, George W. Bush is our president, for better or for worse.

1. 15% agree with you.
2. He did have a plan
3. He does not have to listen to anyone. He is the boss. Do you ask the president of the company you work for to listen to your input? You would be fired.
4. You completely misrepresent what stay the course means.

Here is why his numbers are so low.

1. 30% of Americans would disapprove, no matter what he did.
2. The Republican base is fed up with the following:
Spending
Entitlement spending
new entitlements like Medicare Part D
Amnesty for illegals
not enforcing immigration laws
refusing to fight Democrats when they lie about his record.

Then you have the sheep Americans who believe everything they hear on CBS news. No wonder why so many Americans are against the war. Some of this is Pres Bush's fault because he cannot communicate.

The debacle in Iraq has magnified the short comings of this administration, and as a result Bush's approval has fallen to it's current low level. While he maintains a small margin of support, there are an ever increasing number of independents and Republicans who no longer approve of his handling the war.

Get actual The Democrats have in basic terms controlled congress via fact January (6 months). The low congressional rankings are a consequence of activities (or inactivities) from 14 years of management (or lack thereof) from the different area of the aisle. The low rankings in each government branch are all GOP pushed.

Its mostly cause left wants in power and will do anything to win the popluace back into it. Its what they are paid to do. Same as your job I am sure you have a goal. If a dem doesnt win a race then all the money funded to him/her by the party seen as wasted.

Simply put that we didn't go into iraq for a reason is dumb. What did Saddum kill the Kurds with? How do you think Chemical Ali got his name?

Half the disapprovers are coming from the Left, half from the right.

This is why his poll numbers go up after bombing missions, regardless of what Al Jazeera says the "civilian" casualties were.

Yes, you are right. It simply cannot be the Democrats who are "dissing" the president and bringing his rating down so low, unless Republicans want to concede that, perhaps, Democratic voters make up about 75% of the electorate in this country.
