The cleaning lady at the place where I worked, would wash our coffee mugs with the same sponge with which she washed the toilets...guess who found out? Yours truly...acute salmonella after that, and no more coffee for me during business ours.

I've got a co-worker that doesn't believe in showering. He stinks. For Christmas a bunch of us pitched in and bought him a gift soap set. I don't think he's used it yet. We've all complained to out boss but the boss says that there is a lot going on that we don't know about to just be patient.

I had this one employee who never showered, you could smell him before you saw him. As the manager it was my responsibility to say something to him. I am not a fan of hurting peoples feelings, but I sat him down and told him, you are working around people and dealing with the public all day long and need you to present yourself in a more professional manner and you need to start with your personal hygiene. The next day he came in showered and shaved, hair nicely brushed, came straight to my office and told me to go f*ck myself I quit!
He tried for unemployement benefits and I fought him, because he quit I didn't fire him.

Hmm, well it's better to tell them than to just leave them there. I don't think it's nice just to not say anything, I mean, it will get out of hand sooner or later, you know? But, I've never had to do this with someone a position higher or lower than me. Why? Cause I'm too young to have one, haha. Err, not funny.
