This album has a good jazz sax rip vis a vis Gerry Rafferty. Im a great fan of smooth stuff like Hubert Laws or Chuck Mangione...This album positively blew me away and I was hoping you could refer something smooth to take away the days stress and complications after a long days work....any suggestions? Please no spam, no self promoters and no check my stuff out on wherever. Just an album referral to put in my media player library or rip for the car. Thanks a lot and have a great day!

In my entire life, I have only bought one jazz album.

Back in the 1990's, I was flipping through the radio stations, when I heard them most incredibly soft and melodic siren-song intro, followed by a lovely, haunting voice.

For the first time ever, I called a radio station. I asked the name of the song they were playing: "Here's To Life" by Shirley Horn.

Now, I should be smart and just quit there, but I can't resist. I absolutely love Barry Manilow's "3am Paradise Cafe" album. He's got some good duets with verifiable jazz greats. If you're not a music snob, buy it. It's perfection from start to finish.

I like a lot of Dave Brubeck with Paul Desmond stuff. Great music, fun to listen to. Any of the CDs of them together are great.
