That I know of, it is not illegal to have Limewire.

So long as you are only downloading music for personal use, and not making money out of it, by selling the music (whatever else) you have downloaded.

Here you can find a good place where to download Limewire: http://j.mp/1lOKoYQ

Limewire is good software i still use it to this day. I really like Limewire, I'm actually an avid user of it. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. If you are looking for a good peer to peer software to download music, softwares/programs and videos you should get limewire too.

It's a safe and reliable pogram but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. It does not matter what P2P program you use, you always have to be cautious about what you download.

Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

It is NOT illegal to download from Limewire.
It is only illegal if you download copyrighted material (whether or not it is Limewire). When you first open Limewire, it specifically asks if you wish to download only licensed material. If you tick on 'NO' then you will be able to download unlicensed material, which is illegal. You have a choice. However, unless you are continually downloading the latest songs which are copyrighted, then its highly unlikely that the authorities will bother with you. They are only interested in people who abuse the system and download for profit.
I have used Limewire for years and NEVER had a problem either with the authorities or viruses...but then, I don't download porn (which is also available) or the latest songs......which idiots infect with bugs.

Its against the law to get free things in the internet, thats include music

Reason:
If people download music for free by Limewire or Bit Torrent or whatever.

The Artist won't make any money from it, because people just download it for free but not buying the CD. WHICH MEANS the Artist just wasted thousands of dollars worth of nothing. because people just download their "artist" music for free.

And its unsafe, I ment my punishment

It's not illegal to download actual free music, i.e. recordings not covered by copyright laws but it is illegal to use peer to peer programs such as limewire to download works still covered by copyright protection. However, it's unlikely you'll be caught.
