If there were no spurs, gaffs, or knifes put on the roosters legs and there were timed rounds like boxing and none of the roosters die should cockfighting be legal?

Gamecocks do have a decision they are not forced to fight like PETA and the humane society say.

Going by PETA all gamechickens must to destroyed whiping out a whole breed of chcikens, thats pretty stupid, even though they are supposed to be protecting animals.

GAMECOCKS ARE NOT FORCED TO FIGHT, THEY DO IT NATURALLY UNLIKE PIT BULLS. THE OWNERS DO NOT TRAINE THEM THEY DO IT NATURALLY

No, it still should not be legal. The only place that I know that cockfighting is legal is within the property of certain legally recognized Indian nations within the USA. We have a local dispute whether some TX men were inside an Indian nation or inside OK when they were watching cockfighting.

No- what's the point? They'd still beat the crap out of each other.

Any kind of animal fighting is wrong.

People fighting is OK because they can make the decision whether or not they really want to do it.

Sorry- when an animal which is naturally inclined to fight is pitted against an opponent, it doesn't have a choice. It is still exploitation by humans.

You are correct - let the birds at it and hopefully Peta will still compalin especially if they protest without their cloths on.

well, you're still exploiting them for the purpose of violence, so that's animal abuse for sure, even if they didn't die.
