My loving spouse rubbed my feet and ankles and calves every single night for about a half hour once I got around 34 weeks. I was so swollen my ankles were puffier than my socks and shoes, and kind of hung over the edge- (SO NOT HOT-I know) and I am totally fit, healthy person- so being so swollen was shocking and painful, but the massage really helped me to relax at the end of the day and helped with the swelling before bedtime. Plus, I continued to work up until the day before delivery!
Some people said that getting a foot massage could stimulate a pressure point that would make you go into labor, but after 41 weeks I can tell you that no foot rub could have brought my late baby into the world any earlier! If that were true, Pitocin wouldn't exist and we'd all get foot rubs to induce labor. But hey, t hey still feel nice!

When I was pregnant with my first I had a cleaning lady. It was blissful not having to worry about how to clean a toilet or a floor when I was 8 months pregnant.
No such luck this time. :(

My partner.
he did all the cooking, cleaning, washing, EVERYTHING.
All I had to do was lie there and grow our baby- I had such terrible dizziness that I couldn't do anything but lie down!
