If you want to get them back together, use a cheat code.
In the neighborhood of the sims, type 'boolProp testingCheatsEnabled true' (it is case sensitive). Then go into the house, and you will be able to simply drag the relationship bars to 100%. :)
the boolProp.... code can be used for many other things.
Try experimenting with it,
it's an awesome cheat.

go into the neighborhood area and open up the cheat box,hold down shift+ctrl+c at the same time.
then type in:
boolprop testingcheatsenabled true
and go back into the house and move BOTH SIMS relationship bars with eachother up all of the way and make them talk or something and they'll be friends again in no time

They can get back together without a cheat. All you have to do is have them talk alot and share interests, even if they are not enjoying talking to each other, and have them cuddle on the couch. Basically you have to start their relationship all over and rebuild it. In time they will get back together. Hope this helps Happy Siming!

You're not much of a master if you split them up and can't get them back together.
