okay ive produced my first television show and i want to let people see it. Can i post it on you tube without someone like Nickelodeon or something stealing it? cause they are a big company and were three 13 yearolds if they want it they could say that they came up with it.
(Trust me this tv show is going to be a hit.)

I don't think people can steal your show but they can steal your idea...so first copyright it...the name, the description of the show and then look for a big company (Nick..Disney..) and try to sell it!!

99.9% sure they couldn't steal it.
1) Nothing on Youtube is high enough quality to broadcast on tv.
2) If they did broadcast it on tv, it would be obvious for everyone that it came from the internet, rather than themselves.
3) No American company, so fully aware of the possibility of getting sued would do something as stupid as blatently copy your program off youtube.
In which case, they'll have to steal your idea and make their own version...problems with this are:
4) Point 3 again.
5) Youtube will have a date logged when you uploaded the video, you will be able to prove you made it first.
6) People who make TV shows that are successful are experienced professional adults who know what they're doing. Three 13 year old's program won't be any good. I know you may think it's good now, but your sense of humour (if it's a comedy), or just knowledge and wit will entirely change and grow up by the time you're old enough to make a program that's actually any good.

But if its really that great, be careful! I'm not so sure Nick itself would take it, they are too big of a company to go around stealing people's YouTube videos, but someone could copy it & present it to Nick or someone as their own idea & get it signed.
Its called plagarizing.
