a coffee cake inside of a plastic cover, from the store, left in oven melted when oven was heated.?

the plastic cover that a coffee cake was in was melted in the oven while oven was pre-heating. How to best remove the plastic from the oven bottom and the racks??

take the racks out and use a torch to melt the plastic off and then use steel wool to clean the racks, to clean the bottom of the oven try uesing a scraper
