A friend of mine says she hopes I find someone to share my dreams with because I have no one, but she also keeps trying to get me to talk about them in conversation. Why does she want to know so badly? I did tell her I like her, but we both thought it best to be friends only.

Most likely she finds you interesting and probably still finds some things in common with your interests.

It sounds like she's secretly interested in you and wants to know if you guys would make a good match. She wants to know if you share the same dreams for the future.

Bastets is right. She has feelings for you and she wants to know if she is in your future thoughts.....and she wants to see where you hope to be in the future and wants to know your goals too see if you will have a secure future. She is thinking about getting involved with you or at least wants to and need to know that you can take care of her and provide a future.....Hope that makes some sense of it for you.

she wants to know you will make something of yourself. and hopes you want the best for yourself. and maybe shes not convinced you do, and if you actually open up, maybe things will change, or maybe you will have a friend you can tell everything to

Don't worry why she wants to know. She is interested in your life and that is enough. And if your friendship leads to a romance, would that be so bad?

Correction: YOU thought it was best to be friends only. She obviously has deep feelings for you. What's wrong with her that you like her as a friend but not as a lover?

I believe she wants more than friendship and is working her way toward trying to convince you.

Tell her you can't go out 'cause if you go out then break up, you might ruin your friendship, then maybe she'll stop!
