just do your job and do your job well, and avoid any confrontation. not because you are the pion, but because it doesn't do any good to stir up a bunch of pooh at work..you still have to go every day and deal with the same people, so creating animosity doesn't help. if she has been there longer, she may just be trying to assert her seniority. if she hasn't, then she is just being bitchy and ignore her tactfully.

Those kind of people are so hard to be around. The problem is that their power is just hot air. It is pseudo power.
Choose to NOT give her the power. YOU can't change her, but you can change the way you react to her.
Stop letting her have control. Fack confidence until you all have it. Some well chosen words can really begin to put her in her place. Nothing confrontational, but something wiser than her BS.
She is a very unhappy person. Don't let her intimidate you anymore.
She is just the APLHA woman because she is a bully. Thus she isn't the true ALPHA woman after all.
She gets a response from bulling people so she feels the power. Stop giving her the power. Don't let her see you feel uncomfortable.

If she is not your superior then don't worry about it. If she is then you should politely ask her to treat you with the same respect with which you treat her.
You might try sitting her down and asking her what her particular problem is and if there is anything going on at home that you might can help her with.
She might not confide in you, but she will feel like an idiot when you say "listen, weve noticed that you are in a really bad mood all of the time and you just seem so miserable.... Is there anything going on that we can help you with?" she will start to look at her own behavior a little more closely.
