Well if you've read the story by Frank Stockton, heres the link if you want to read it. http://hennessey.lib.ok.us/tiger.htm
Anyway, I find it a really good story, we had to read it in class and I was wondering what people think came out of the door? I'm thinking tiger but then we had a discussion about it, so it's kind of hard to choose. Any opinions? =)

Dedum:
Good opinion but.. wouldn't it be delayed love either way? Well it depends how you look at it but then they could meet in the after life.

I going to say the tiger, if you consider the times and her barbaric upbringing, its obvious that what she cannot have, no one can.

the point is for you to choose for yourself.
My opinion: It is easier to know that (although you might not ever see a lover again) your love is out there and alive as opposed to watching him being ripped to shreds in front of you. If he is alive it also allows for them to run into each other at a later date (when dad is dead) and perhaps continue the affair. Arranged marriages were the norm then, and it would be within her comfort zone (and those around her) to have an affair. So my vote, the lady. More options that way.
also note: many women did not survive childbirth, she could be a free man quite soon. They understood each other with a glance. She should know that he would kill his new wife in an instant to be with her. She is also a barbarian, what is to stop her from getting revenge on her father and then claiming the throne for herself and her lover with his newly deceased wife ? Poison was an option back then as well. Note the author said "wait for her". Indicates she knows his love is hers no matter what the circumstance.... I like this story as well. I vote for delayed love.

It's definitely the tiger, all the clues point in that direction.
