If the popcorn wasn't the high-fat, high-cal kind, then you're probably OK as far as calories.
Though I have to wonder why this is in Mythology and Folklore.
You're looking at about 1000-1200 calories, depending on the fat in the popcorn and granola bars. Some granola bars are healthy, and some are candy bars with oats mixed in.
So, yeah, you would probably lose weight if you kept your calories in that range. And it's not healthy, for the record. Not if that's all you eat.

The way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories than you use, ideally without starving or malnourishing yourself. I think you're on the right track as far as the traditional quick-lose-weight scheme. I'd advise switching the popcorn for a freezer-meal like Healthy Choice or Lean Cuisine, and maybe doing a bowl of Special-K with soy or regular milk for breakfast. Slim Fast is good for lunch and the fruit is great for a snack.
So if you keep going like that for a month, yes, you will probably lose weight. Going for a nice walk now and then, and drinking plenty of water, will help you too.

Yes, but it's not nutrionally healthy. You lose weight when you use more calories than the amount you take in. It's a very simple mathematical equation. That's why people excercise, to make sure they are burning more calories than what they put in. If you keep a balanced diet, and excercise regulary, you'll lose weight. It won't be the fastest method. But it will be the healthiest, and the one that will make sure you keep the weight off. If you keep doing what you're doing now, then 1) your body will literally eat itself to get the nutrients that its missing (starvation mode) and 2) once you eat anything outside of this diet, your body will turn that into fat because it's in starvation mode.

If you starve yourself, Your body automatically thinks you are starving it therefore you will not lose weight like you may think, You will actually hold weight, The best way is eat healthy and exersize You can actually eat anything you want in moderation.
I myself am going to try the Bean it looks like a good, fun way to exersize. I have the same problem (need to lose weight) A couple years ago I lost 50 lbs But I gained some back. So its time again.

I'm confused here....
do you want to lose weight or not...?
Either way, you should be eating healthy, little indulges from time to time are okay, though.
Sorry, I may seem off topic and spamming, but is the main point of this question asking if you this will make you lose weight or is it because you're worried it will make you lose weight...?

you ate approximately 1320 calories and that is not counting the calories you drank. An average person eats 2,000- 2,500 calories a day so you have reduced about 500 calories from you diet in a day. That 500 times 7 days = 1 lb a week!
So yes you will loose weight but it all depends on how much calories you ate before today.
I love this website : caloriesperhour.com
It tells you how much you burn doing over 100,000 activities
It tells you how much time you need to loose a certain amount
It tell you how much you need to reduce for a certain event
it is basically the best

Not really. Eating slim for a day or so doesn't really have an effect on weight loss, if you count a couple of ounces difference a weight loss. Exercise an hour a day and count calories. I know it's a pain and you want to take the easy way out, but diet pills, starvation, and binging have adversive effects.

only way to lose weight is to have your caloric intake not exceed your metabolic consumption. In other words, any calories you eat that aren't used my your body will be turned into fat. Therefore if you eat this food and don't have any activity for your body you will not lose weight. Look up basal metabolic rate or caloric needs calculator to estimate how many calories you should consume to lose weight safely. P.S. make sure you still obtain the essential vitamins and nutrients these will make it easier for your body to turn fat into energy of muscle fiber.

The only thing that is going to make you lose weight is exercising. The goal is to burn more calories than you eat everyday or at least 3 times a week.

ok... health aside... losing weight is about taking in fewer calories than you burn. add up all the calories of what you ate today... google a website that has calorie counts for things like fruits and vegetables that don't have labels. then get a rough idea of how many calories you burn in a day at a website like http://www.calorie-count.com/calories/calories-burned.php. it won't be 100% right, but it'll give you an idea. make sure the number of calories you eat is less than the number of calories you burn... and you'll lose weight. generally speaking, that is.
