Yes and No since your hips have to deal with swivel. It will throw your back out a kidney belt is designed to keep your kidneys from bouncing around on a moto bike, but it will give your back some support. I wouldn't use it regularly.

Umm...can you even hurt your kidneys snowboarding? I guess if you ran into a tree branch or fell awkwardly onto a rail....but it seems awfully unlikely. My gut feel is that you probably can do without it.
