I have a boyfriend, and I love him with everything. The problem is, he told me he is going to buy me a ring (and a very expensive one at that), and I am flat- out broke!
What should I do?
I was thinking of making origami hearts and filling his locker with them, but I'm terrible at origami (there are no easy directions that I can find).
Please don't suggest cooking dinner for him either- I'm a TERRIBLE cook!

You know, gfts aren't really about how much they cost
its more about the thought behind it
and i know that i must sound like a cheap person by saying that, but a heartfelt gift will probably mean a lot more than an expensive gift, something you've put thought into.
For example, this person i'm interested in collects starburts wrappers, its sort of her thing, so i've decided to make her a bracelet out of starburst wrappers and trust me it was hard, with heart shapes between the links made out of the wrappers in between. it might not have costed much but it means a lot to her.
Try to find osmething that might mean a lot to him, and make something homemade, and personal. Or at last resort just give him a 'one free pass' or a 'one free night to do what you want' card. lol sorry had to throw that in there.

I once read that it's not a good idea to try to match monetarily your man's gift to you, for this deflates him.

Rather than origami hearts, why not make him some other kind of paper hearts, whatever your creativity can come up with? You can sew him a little heart, or use construction paper. You can make him a homemade card. You can assemble photographs of you two into a scrapbook or photo album. You can make him a little booklet, or a poem, song, short story, or article, describing all the things you love about him.

You can also rent a movie he might like and watch it together with popcorn and champagne or sparkling apple juice.

You can have a local bakery bake a big heart-shaped cookie and put your names on it. You can a find a song with his name in it, and sing it to him. (Buy him the sheet music or CD if you can!)

Happy Valentine's Day, you two!

Another romantic thing that costs no money and just a little bit of time is to show up at his door, take him outside and using music from a CD player, a car stereo or an Ipod, dance under the moonlight. Simple and sweet. Romantic. It can be just the two of you especially if you go to a special spot.
Good luck.

Ok you first need to count how much money you have.
Secondly you get on Wal*Mart.com and go to Valentine gifts.
Thirdly fnd a gift under your budget.
Fourthly print a picture of it.
Fifthly go to Wal*Mart show it to a worker and they will find it.

You can do any other .com I just said that one.
