Unfortunately the player you have has only a composite (Yellow plug) and Y/C or S Video output. It lacks the high resolution VGA output necessary to join the world of computer monitors. The device necessary to allow you to do that would be roughly 4 times the $40 cost of the player. Even then you would have a very lousy picture since the image would be so compressed. It would be like having a drinking straw as the water line coming into your house.
A couple of things: Perhaps your computer can play DVD's. Most now do. Pop a DVD into the drive and see what happens. Also, the cost of LCD computer monitors WITH video inputs are now down below $200 for a 15" model.

well... not sure if u can hook your dvd player up to the monitor itself... unless it has like a S-Video port on it or RCA.Component inputs on it... chances are it doesn't. Also chances are... your computer is able to play DVD's... you should try that. Good luck.

if your computer is newer than say 2002 or 2003 it should definantly have a dvd player on it, maybe 2004.
