if there is such a degree as financial planning, I'm sure you'd be more equipped if you had full on finance as your backing.

There's a major called "Financial Planning"?

You should realize that most financial planners just sell life insurance, annuities, and products like that. They're mainly sales people. Don't even need a bachelors degree.

Finance major is different.
