Hell no. But we come closer to that lofty ideal than any other country I know of. Even the poorest of us have rights. Even criminals have rights. Money is what corrupts the system and is the root cause of the inequalities we do have. If the poor could bribe the system the way the rich do, then we'd truly be equal!

Unfortunately no. There is still racism and bullying and stuff.
As far as I see it, people will never be treated as equals by everyone. In God's eyes, we are all equal, but in many people's eyes, we aren't.
People think that they are better than others, people of different nationalities are discriminated against, and some Native Americans are getting paid and housed for things that didn't even directly affect them. That may sound racist, but I swear it's not...I'm part Native American and I'm not going to make racist comments about that because that would be stupid. But ya, that's my personal opinion. And I swear I'm not racist toward anyone.

No they're not. I've read that the Bible even says that different groups are never going to be fully equal, and weren't even in Biblical times. Correction... prisoners get full rights. I write my mom's killer in prison and the guards always screen his letters to a T, making sure nothing is said bad. But the letters I get are filled with nonsense and curse words. I feel like whites get less rights, actually. Look at it. As a college student I've noticed that white students and Native Americans, and Asians get less scholarships. There are dozens of scholarships for blacks, and hispanics.

Nope, differences in education, backgrounds, immigration and race make people watch others over the shoulder... No society in this world knows that you are calling equality.

No, there are the wealthy, middle class, poor and poverty stricken.
The priority in our society is money. We strive for it, work for it, plot for it, rob for it and it some cases kill for it.
Through education we should emphasize other priorities such as not taking unfair advantage of situations and allowing true equal opportunities for all.
