If you think of the $20 a month as a means of saving money, its a really great deal. I used to spend about $400 dollars a month going out to clubs, movies, bars, etc. Since I started WoW, that's dropped to $100. So, for a $40 purchase, and $16 a month, I'm saving $300/month. When it looks like that, its a great deal.

WoW just came out with an expansion, but its exactly that, not a new game. Without the expansion, the game is $19.95 at my local Walmart, and the monthly fee is the same regardless.

If you have friends who play, one of them should be able to give you a certificate for a free month of play to discover if you like the game.

I will warn you that the game is very addictive. In 2006, I spent 64 days of real time playing the game (as in, I spent 1536 hours playing which is 64 when divided by 24). It is, however, worth all the time invested.

World of Warcraft is a standalone game. It costs $20 at the stores now and comes with a 1-month subscription. After the first month it costs $15/month. Burning Crusade is an expansion that came out to add on to World of Warcraft. It requires the original WOW to play. The expansion costs around $40. It does not include a free subscription.

This game is definitely worth the 15 bucks a month... As long as u have the time to put into it i guarantee u will be hooked as i am... u dont really have to worry about the expansion until u have played up to lvl 60... u have a while of playing till then...
These are ur costs
19.99 for world of warcraft and
14.99 a month for the membership which u cant play without...
if u use a credit card u can also save like 3 bucks a month by buying a 3 month reacurring membership..

I think its worth playing the game. I have a level 68 warlock on the game and is still very interested in the game. If you go onto the world of warcraft website, you can try a 10 day trial. You still have to pay for the first version as well as the expansion.

There's only 1 version of WoW. Yes, people still play it.

You need to buy the original game, World of Warcraft, if you want to play the Burning Crusade. BC is the expansion, so it can't be played without the original WoW.

It's only 15 bucks a month to play.

World of Warcraft is only 20 dollars now. Technically, it's cheaper than the Burning Crusade because BC costs 39.99 for the regular edition and 69.99 for the collector's edition.

I used to think that way as well. My reasoning for being willing to spend that $15 a month... I'm a smoker. I pay more for cigarettes a week ($25) than I do for WoW a month. Plus, if you pay for longer periods, you get discounts (as already mentioned).

The Burning Crusade (aka TBC) is an expansion, not a stand-alone game. That means that you get new content in WoW itself: a whole new continent to explore, new mounts, a new profession, two new races to choose from, a higher level cap, and new storylines.

There are currently over 9 million people who play WoW, and IIRC, 1/4 of them bought TBC the first day, and more get it every day. I bought TBC, and I can play next to someone who hasn't yet, so it really matters little on if you choose to buy it yet (however, once you hit the level cap of 60 without the expansion, others will continue on to level 70 in Outland).

WoW is not $20.

1 month is $14.99
3 months prepaid is $13.99/month
6 months prepaid is $12.99/month

Yes, over 9 million people now play World of Warcraft (I'm guilty as well)

You can get a free trial of the game for 10-days, go to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com. You can also purchase the game download itself from the website as well, or you can get it anywhere like Target, Best Buy, Wal-mart, Circuit City, etc.

Considering the fun factor of the game, it saves you money in the long run alone in video games. Think: $50 a pop for each game you buy. If you buy one or two a month, your still saving $35-85 alone in gaming costs.

The first version is the same game, the upgrade just adds Outland, and the lvl cap to 70. Of course people still play without Burning Crusade.

Btw, it's $15 a month, not 20.

Anyway, when you buy it, you get your first month free.

You can get a free trial version but the game does cost a monthly subscription fee (I think it's definitely worth it). The original game is still played, but most people are in the land of the expansion module, Outland. So you'll see plenty of people in the original game but many people are in Outland right now. You can also get the expansion module and start playing as a level one blood elf or draenei.

The trial helps a optimum point of 20. that's greater common to easily restart. additionally, giving fake training to the corporation is against the regulation so i'd suggestion you to no longer notify the corporation of your fraudulent training and basically initiate over. i'm hoping you take excitement in the sport and characteristic relaxing :P
