Just generalising here, but some people find Americans annoying and arrogant. Alot of them don't know much about the rest of the world... No offence, just answering your question as honest as I can.

I have serious doubts that prostitution rings are sponsored by either the US or Israel. First you people say the US meddles too much into foreign affairs and now you accuse our country of enabling a huge country like Saudi Arabia to horde their own money. Do you not see how ridiculous you sound? Saudi Arabia is in the process of building huge solar panel fields in the desert. I have little doubt that the UN thinks this is the greatest thing since the invention of the wheel. You don't understand what is going on in the world.

Not every other country. I've heard, just a third of other countries. But it's still overgeneralizing to say that a whole country hates the U.S. It's like, if 50% or more of the country hate our nation, then the country hates our nation. What about the other half (or less) that don't? It's like the common overgeneralization that Americans are overfed. There are quite a few who do not or can not eat much.

Humans hate everywhere. Hateful people do not discriminate. Humans will choose the most ignorant things to hate others for. There is no country in the world that others don't hate whether right or wrong. Don't hate. Try to focus on the positive side of people. Negativity will always reflect you in a poor light.

Danru's right - it is a generalisation. But it's unfortunately true that lots of people hate Americans. I think this is largely because of George Bush.

You know - I had no issue with Americans at all till I joined this site. But the arrogance I have encountered is astounding. So, based on that, I am not your country's biggest fan.

Let's just say Mr Bush doesn't make it very easy for you. Maybe the Media is partly to blame. I'm a 30 y/o Scotsman and I don't dis like you. I think the world is torn at the moment between the apple pie image and the gung ho lets save the world by making it how we want it to be. America has made some amazing achievments but it currently looks just like a big bulldozer with a drunk drriver at the wheel

Well....we do hear it mentioned now and again....probably a combination of mild jealously and the fact that America does get so many things wrong....Big business runs America, (with the rest of the world following!).....and because of that the profit decision comes before the humanist decision usually ending in a messy situation....strong paranoia also runs through America, not sure where that comes from though?....any takers?

The sort of people who generalise against a whole nation based on the actions of a few are not really the sort of people who should be listened to. The USA's image has taken a blow due to recent events but that shouldn't overshadow the achievements of your country on many levels.

Be proud.

Well, a lot of people don't like the U.S. for a number of reasons. I figure a lot has to do with their current "president." And I imagine there are many more reasons than that. I don't hate Americans. I love everyone except you Clay Aiken...you bastard.
