ok, i recently got off of the depo shot in Mid-November. Me and hubby have been preforming ("unprotected"), since november i HAVE had light-spotting thru-out the months. I have never had a full-blown period. Well, I know HGC in ur urine has to build up...so... i took the midstream-test(the one you hold under urine stream) well its accue-clear Home test from walgreens and as i tinkled on the strip the dye went across the test well it had a line when it went over the positive window before it got to the other result window (and then when the dye finally cleared), there was only one line. I feel preggy and I since it. Do u think it was to early to test? and I do not know when i am ovulating bc i havent had period since dec-05' after my daughter was born I got right on the depo-shot before i even left the hospital to take my daughter home! WHATS GOING ON THIS IS MAKING ME CRAZZZZZZZZZZZZZY!!!! PLEASE HELP LADIES

There is no way to know when you ovulated, I would start checking on that asap. You need an over the counter ovulation test kit, use it to determine when you are ovulating, then time your intercourse accordingly. If the test was negative, which it sounds like it was, you can wait another week and test again. But I would get the ovulation tests and figure out when and if you are ovulating. You also may want to see a doctor to figure out why you aren't having a period. It is much harder to conceive on irregular cycles.

The depo shot lasts for 3 months at each session you get it. As far as you taking the pregnancy chance, your body has to settle back into the fact that you are not on the depo shot anymore. It may take about 3-6 months before you get your regular period. If you feel pregnant, I say go to a doctor 1 month after you've taken that test and get retested. You have to give your body atleast 30 days for the depo to get cleared out of your system enough for the doctor to be able to be absolutely positive. or get blood taken to make sure.

You held it under your urine to long-- 5 seconds... if you don't want to hold it under you then hold it for 10 seconds in a clean cup. If you did that then it is just a "broken" test, it is possible so get another one if you want. Not all WOMAN can use a HPT, most need to have a blood test.
But if you have been light spotting then you may be pregnant, however from November you would be noticing some signs of actual pregnancy, bloating-breast soreness- fatigue-hunger.
Also it is apparent your gyn did not fill you in that Depo can cause irregular menses for a few months after stopping.
I would suggest seeing your doc.

Every woman is different. However from my experience with the depo shot....it took me a year to get pregnant. I did the spotting shortly after my last shot was due and my period finally got back on track about six months later. Another factor that you had left out was how long you were on the shot. I was on the shot for two years straight. So your experience may be different from mine. Good luck to you though.

go to pee on a stick.com. Sometimes the urine has to settle on the piece to get an accurate result. It says that it may show up positive when it is going accross the window but dont read it until after the test is finished like 10 mins. 3 mins how ever long. If you are in doubt take another one.

I know a girl with almost the same exact story. Turns out she's not pregnant. Her doc said from being on the shot so long, or any form of b/c, it can take awile for your body to adjust and go back to normal. Basically your body thinks it's pregnant, when it may not be. But only a doc can tell you for sure.

My suggestion would be to go see the doctor. Only he/she would be able to tell you exactly what's going on. I had a friend on the depo shot and after she quit she had so many problems that she had to get a hysterectomy so it could be something else. Good luck.

Well it certainly sounds like you are and decided you were before
you asked? But with all due clarity and you don't/can't see a Dr.
there is a kit, in Canada anyway that can instantly tell and/or have
your Pharmacist do it. However make sure it is your first morning
