Its a given that Republicans will bash any Democratic candidate, and vice versa. But I would truly be interested in the policies or ideas that he has put forward that offend you so much. And please, don't just lump him in with the whole democratic socialist crap...I'd like to know what it is about HIM and what he has proposed (not his party) thus far that is so offensive to people.

Thank you...the answers were kept (mostly) to political answers.
So if I understand correctly, the main reason to dislike him as a candidate is his lack of experience. Why, then, is he villified by morons here as Islamic?

1) hes been against the war in Iraq since the beginning it shows he doesnt jump on the bandwagon he votes what he believes is true
2) he doesnt do the bidding of lobbyists and campaign funders so hes got them all angry
3) he doesnt do Israels bidding and therefore all the Zionists in the Media and govt hate him
I can honestly say he doesnt stand a chance

I am a hardcore conservative republican who would NEVER vote for a democrat. But I have my reasons. My main problem with Obama is his lack of experience. I don't think he is qualified to run the nation for 4-8 years ESPECIALLY in a time of war. He has only been in the senate for 2 years... not even a full term. Think of the presidency as a job opening. Right now, the American people are interviewing candidates for the position, and Obama is vastly under-qualified. Why give the job to someone who is under-qualified? I have many other reasons why I do not like him (personal views do not match his) But, this is the largest reason why i do not feel he is fit for the presidency. Really, he should have waited 8-12 years in the Senate before contemplating a run.

John Howard is right in his statement about Obama.Australia is the USA strategic partner in the Pacific-Far East as well as in IRAQ.The most populated Muslim country INDONESIA is right on Australias doorstep.Obama showed his lack of understanding of the situation in his reply to John Howard.Australia is already covering 3 fronts and with only a pop of 20 mill and the last thing the AUSSIES need to hear is the ravings of a wimp with BIG EARS who is ARTICULATE. They should make a RAP song OSAMA,OBAMA,we want the same thing

Like others his lack of experience is glaring. However, my real problem with him is his great ideas with no explanations as to how to get to the "great" results. He even plans to strength my family - forget it is not weak & I do not want the goverments help.
He has set a March deadline to pull all troops from Iraq. You do not think the terrorist are not smart enough to out wait us.
He is scary without the experience & the refusal to listen to anyone. As a mother of an Army Officer, I can not & will not gamble on him.

It would be tough to find many policies to bash him on since he is relatively new to the Senate and has not been involved with crafting too much Democratic policy. That is where most people are critical of him. His inexperience.

The Republicans DIDN'T bash Obama Hussein, it was Hillary's campaign people.
GOOD FOR THEM.
Here's what wrong with Obama:
He talks a moderate talk, BUT CHECK HIS VOTING RECORD!!!!!
He's 5 points higher on Liberal/Socialist Ratings than Ted Kennedy.
So, that means that he's trying to FOOL the ignorant. HE'S A PHONEY HYPOCRITE!!!!

Honestly, I don't know a whole lot about him. I question if he has the experience to run for President, but that's about it.
I won't bother learning much about the candidates until it's closer to election time.

Just listen to him, he is definately into the the socialist crap (as you describe it). He is for every liberal policy, anti gun ownership, abortions for everyone (he even voted against a bill that would require medical care for aborted fetuses that survived, meaning let them die even though they are alive). He would increase social programs, cut the military and raise taxes - socialist crap fits it well.
I'm curious as to who is controlling and financing him. With no real experience, somebody is really helping him out and if someone is helping him, they are going to expect payback of some type.
