Hardline Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is now softening his tone on Iraq. Do you think this is coming from the US's proof that Iran is arming the insurgents?

No, I think it's coming from the fact that the US Navy has two carrier battle groups in the Persian Gulf. This is highly unusual for the US Navy to have two carrier groups in the same region of the world, unless it's planning on taking on something big! Do you think Ahmadinejad is starting to have bad dreams over the prospect that he's gone over the line in pissing off the US? Or do you think the ayatollah told him that he was going to castrate his sorry @ss if he doesn't tone it down?

Whichever it is, it seems to be working.

Actually, Ahmadinejad has been calling for dialogue since he's been in office. It's really stupid policy not to dialogue with your enemies like this administration hasn't done. I mean, even though the Soviet Union was our enemy, Reagan still met with them to see if we could iron things out. We've never had this kind of bullsh*t foreign policy before in this country. What do we get for it? More war talk, more violence and more isolation from the rest of the world.
