My grandfather just gave me a framed photo of my sister and I from when we were little. Unfortunately, the frame is broken (and ugly!) and I would like to change it, but the photo is stuck to the glass (which is also cracked). Is there any way to remove the picture without damaging the photo?

You need to go to a photographer supply store (or wherever you can buy traditional photo products for film developing) and get some "photo flow"... it is a chemical used to prevent spots on drying photographs and film developed the old way... lol... before canon photo inkjet printers, digital cameras, the internet and such...

Follow the mix instructions and put the solution in a clean flat roasting pan... place the photo and the glass in the mix and let it soak... in a few minutes you should be able to slide the two apart. Once free, hang the photo carefully with a clothes peg and when dry, you are good to go.
