The recent statement put out by some committee had almost no actual scientists on it. Global Warming is just a political issue spiraled out of control... did you know that the temperatures of the oceans have significantly decreased between 2003 and 2006, and also, nothing has even been proven as to that humans are the cause of "global warming". The greenhouse gases may actually be having the opposite effect, becausae the suns rays are also reflected back towards the sun, away from the earth! And in all actuality, today, the earth is only 1 degree celcius warmer than it was a century ago which is not something to be fretting about. Warming and cooling is part of the natural cycle of the earth... how did we get out of the last ice age? It got really warm and all the ice melted... and that was back when humans weren't around! We were forced to watch an Inconcenient Truth at school last week, and my dad actually complained to the school... and I agree, we should not be brainwashed

im not saying that pollution isn't a problem, because without a doubt, it is... where do you get the idea that i am offended by this. I'm just annoyed with the liberals for going crazy with this

The climate IS changing. But, it's always been changing. It's never been static. It's the nature of the thing.

Perhaps there is "global warming" - some scientists believe that it caused the extinction of the dinos (you KNOW the dinos drove Hummers, right?).

That said, most scientists agree that "global warming" is a natural state of the planet and it's relation to the sun. Humans may have some impact on it, but not enough to matter. If there were NO humans on earth, we'd still have climate change.

I know about the study you're referring to and I heard one of the scientists is really angry because he was misquoted in the study to make it sound like he agreed with them - which he does not.

So you think polluting the earth is a good thing; you need to find out things for yourself, look at the mutations in animals from pollution, the fish kills that happen from chemicals being dumped, do some research. Use your logic, how can the earth survive with all the toxic chemicals and gases that are put into the air and water. Have you ever been behind a polluting vehicle that chokes your breath, how do you think this affects someone with asthma. Think for yourself, if they're right, won't you want something done. If they're wrong, you haven't lost anything, because the world will have better energy sources and be more efficient. Keep on asking.

It's almost nothing BUT scientists involved.

Why does the idea that human activity affects the planet offend you so much? Why does it offend you at all?

One degree, by the way, is huge. Do you know how much colder the earth was during the last Ice Age as compared to today? You probably think it was 20, 30, 100 degrees?

It was four - Fahrenheit, by the way.

Keep the thermostat going and you WILL see the difference in your lifetime. Why would you put your head in the sand over this?

When winter starts out acting and feeling more like spring, as it did from December at least until the second week of January, except in Colorado, how can climate change or global warming not be occuring?

The jury is still out as far as i am concerned but I have not been able to find a single article explaining how the ice shelf is growing in Antarctica. That is correct, GPS satellites photographing the Antarctica have proven conclusively that the ice shelf has actually grown 8% in the last two years. Doesn't the term "Global Warming" refer to the entire planet? How is this possible? But see, if you can get the masses believing this stuff you will be able to raise taxes and further tell us how to live our lives.....

Might be a load of crap. The truth is that there is definitely some sort of global climate change happening.

Call it global warming, global iceing, or global whatever, it really doesn't matter.

The solar has been in a extreme minimal and but the warming has endured. Solar recreation does affect international local weather however that outcome is now beaten by means of greenhouse gases.

Maybe it's true, I have an open mind. However people still need to reduce how much they pollute the earth. The life cycle is very delicate.

Global warming is fact. Denying it is a poor excuse to continue being the world's number one polluter
