Can u take a pregnancy test (from the chemist) when on the pill , if so how long do u have to wait to do it!!?? Can u do it b4 u miss ur period

If you are late with your period...do the test regardless of if you are on the pill or not. If you are still worried after that...go see the doctor. Remember to use the first bit of urine in the morning as it has the highest concentration of HCG (pregnancy hormone).

Yes. It is best to wait until the first day of your missed period to get an accurate result, as early result pregnancy tests are not particularly reliable before that point.
If you are pregnant when taking the pill, you won't get your period. The periods you get on the pill aren't 'real' periods, but they will still stop if you are pregnant as a result of raised hormone levels in your body.

the pill should not affect the answer a pregnancy test gives you. is it likely you are pregnant when you are taking the pill any way??? you can test up to 4 days before your period is due how ever if you are pregnant doing a test this early may show negative due to the low amount of HCG in your urine. my advice: do a test now, if you are late than wait a week then do another test. good luck xx

I have read on the back some are so sensitive they can pick up the hormone before your period is due. Check the packets. You will prob pay more for this type. I found that the two quid ones work ok the day ur period is due.

If you are on the pill that means you are not trying to get pregnant, so why would you be taking a pregnancy test?

there is a test you can take before your period is due but i can't remember the name of it sorry. ask your chemist, i think its one from the clear blue range.
I have just checked it is a clear blue test and can be used up to 4 days before your period is due. good luck x

you can take a pregnancy test whenever you have to pee. the best time to do it is when you've missed your period, or if you feel like you are pregnant.

yes you can test before your missed period but it wont be an accurate result untill you miss you period (i tested just over a week after i missed my period)
