I mean serious, its really getting annoying. Im constantly having to argue with my friends, when they say hes an overrated piece of trash who talks too much.
Its so not true. Hes a great basketball player, and even though he does force some shots, he wins more games for his team than loses them. Hes been getting slammed so much recently for saying he was going to get 50, and he only got 9, but if LeBron or Wade did that, people would just shrug it off.
And sure he talks alot but I like guys with personality and aren't afraid to voice there opinon and show a little humor.
To the people who say hes overrated, all your doing is making him even more underrated, and making his will to win more. Arenas gets no respect and its really making me mad.

Arenas is a great pure basketball player, but as far as a leader and winner, he is far from it. He is great to watch and quite a profit for the entertainment industry, just like Chad Johnson. He plays for himself, and that's it. He complained about emphasis on defense when he only scored 9 points. He needs to understand there is more to the game that just trying to get back at people, try winning, that will get at them more than droppin 50. He is getting the respect he deserves, and now that he is, he isn't producing. Someone said if Wade or LB did that people would shrug it off, but that's just because neither of them would do that. They lead by example

Hes an idiot. Talking trash it what seperates the good from the greats. You didn't see Iverson, Kobe, or even Jordan talking about hitting up 50 points, ESPECIALLY not for NOT making the US team. Is it the US coaches fault that he sucks? Revenge tour? What the hell? Who does he think he is, being a ballhog then talking like hes been in the league for 10 years, and then getting "Revenge" on coaches who probably have pets worth more than him and have been in the league for 20 years. He needs to shut up because he IS overrated. If he can keep up averaging 30 points for the rest of the season, he will be at most "Most improved player of the year", but he will still be a ballhog, and will never be a great.

Your friends have no idea what they are talking about. Gilbert Arenas is one of the best players in the NBA. He is second in scoring he averages 8 assists a night. He overall is a good player the only problem is his team. He needs a better team and the teams needs to get along with each other.

With the years that we Wizards-Bullets fans have waited for a good team, we in the DC area are thrilled to have a great scorer who keeps the team from giving up leads they hold after two or three quarters, as used to be the case too frequently.
In a perfect world, your point guard is not your leading scorer, but this is just one of a number of basketball traditional theories that are passe now.

no you're not alone. i like him too but... arenas does talk.... A LOT. he's a good player, but he is known to be really cocky. its okay though because he's young and doesnt know any better. the 9 point night proabably warned him not to make crazy predicitions anymore though. he'll learn. he does have kind of an arrogant attitude, but i dont think it shadows his talents like it did with kobe when he was the same way years ago. oh and if lebron or d-wade said something like that, i would think the same thing... good player, arrogant attitude.

Everybody hates the shoot first pass second pgs. Not me. I'm a cavs fan by birth but I can't hate Gilbert "Hibachi" Arenas. He fun to watch. He gets his share of rebounds and assists. Ignore the haters. Gilbert will put his team on his back and carry them deep into the playoffs this. His behavior is bizarre but fun. I like him.

No you're not have you seen what happens to the wizards when he dosen't play well. He's not overrated, Steve Nash is the most overrated player in basketball.

He talent can't be questioned, the man can ball. However is stock in the MVP race is starting to slide. A month ago I had him as the MVP front runner. As of today I have to give it to Dirk Nowitzki.

i think he is a great player top 10 in the nba but he talks a little much and has a chip on his shoulder but great playeer and an easy all star

what else does he have to do, he is great and people who think that he is not make him even better, when have you ever heard of guys who sleep in the gym or hold mid night practice section. i mean i love him very much and the wizards too but gilbert's revenge has gotten too far to control.
