Absolutely Dr. Charles Drew was black and discovered the blood types, and that made blood transfusions possible, and invented the blood bank.
What the earlier person did not tell you that Dr. Drew had been injured, and a white hospital would not see him, and he bled to death before he could get to a black hospital.

might be best know for the fact that he has successfully separating a number of Siamese twins. That from what I know where mostly connected to each other by the head (so it made surgery a very challenging operation)
at the age of 33, he became the youngest physician ever at Johns Hopkins to head a major division.
where he has refined the techniques for hemispherectomy, a radical brain surgery to stop intractable seizures.

I hope tht this will be helpful. George Washington Carver was a founding father of modern agriculture and thus is responsible for many ways to grow and use many different crops for theraputic uses. Peanut oils, and also as a side bar invented peanut butter.
I did a book report on him in the 70"s and still look him up on Wikipedia once in a while and find new things and formulas they are still finding ,that he left behind. If you get a moment look him up.
