2005 season Amare was clearly the best & most valuable player on the Suns. He's a 6'10 & 245lbs GIANT who could play 2 positions(center or power forward). 2005 was before his injury and he was getting compared to all the great big men that ever played. His stats were better then anyone on his team(including Nash). Now here's the comparisons on their strong points:

2005: Amare: 26.0 ppg 8.9 rpg 55.9 fg%
2005: Nash: 15.5 ppg 11.5 apg 50.2 fg%
2005: Marion: 19.4 ppg 11.3 rpg 47.6 fg%

2005 playoffs: Amare: 29.9 ppg 10.7 rpg 53.9 fg%
2005 playoffs: Nash: 23.9 ppg 11.3 apg 52.0 fg%
2005 playoffs: Marion: 17.6 ppg 11.8 rpg 48.4 fg%

Plus Amare had that unbelievable series against the Spurs: He avg. 39 ppg against Duncan in a Suns losing effort... Points is the most important stat there is.. and Amare have a better ppg% & better fg% then the other 2 all-stars. 05 season & playoffs his rpg% was good..comparing players I put rebounds over assist. That's a self stat!

Because the Suns did pretty well without him (the year before).

He wasn't even the MVP of the team, let alone the entire NBA.

Why are you bringing something up that's over a year old? are you Amare's agent or something?

What has Amare done THIS season to warrant MVP attention? NOTHING! While Nash is out with a sore shoulder, the Suns are losing.

What does that tell you? It SHOULD tell you that Nash is the MVP of the Suns.

Umm, because STEVE made AMARE who he was. He passed those slick passes to amare, who would just dunk it in wide open. Withoute Nash, amare would be nothing--look at the suns in the past 3 games without nash--THEY LOST THEM ALL.

Without Nash directing that offense the Suns wouldnt have gone anywhere. He is the key to the team.
Amare is talented, but when he doesnt have a guard to pass him the ball, he is negated.
