The website that maxoid people provided is junk. It doesn't fully, and properly explain the game. I just bought the Life Stories. I would recommend not waisting forty bucks on it. What you do is play a planned game. You tell the Sims to do something, and a reaction comes from it. There are two different stories to play on, but after you finish the stories, you basically are just left with the basic Sims 2. There are no expansion packs available, and it is just like playing the Sims 2. But, it does work with lab tops. It runs so much faster on my lab top than the regular Sims 2 does. :)

Hi, I think that the Sims Life stories are a sort of cut down version of the Sims2 that will run on most computers & laptaps without the need for powerful graphics cards.

I imagine that they are good - especially if you want to play on a laptop. It'll just be that you won't be able to download any extra items or clothes for your Sims. I haven't played the Life Stories though so don't really know.
