J.K. Rowling commemorated the end of her writing book seven, Deathly Hallows, with a little note and her signiture signed on the marble bust of the Greek God Hermes. I have never heard of a marble bust and do not know what it is. Are they specifically meant for Greek Gods or Godesses? Can anyone help me out?

A bust is a sculpture of a person from mid chest up to the top of their head.
So a marble bust would be a bust of someone made out of marble.

A bust, marble or otherwise, is a statue of just the head, shoulders and bust of the person being depicted.

a bust is a statue showing only the head, neck and perhaps shoulders, so a marble one is one that is made of marble :-)
