I'm using an nVidia Go 6200, and though the DVD shows on my laptop display screen, it's simply blacked out on my external monitor. I have my multile monitor displays set to 'clone'. Thanks in advance. Any additional details needed to give me more help, just say so. Ta.

u need to go into ur video properties and see how to switch between displays .. maybe set a hotkey for it if that is an option ...

dze gives a sensible response. Maybe you should take a read of your manual to see how to switch display properties. It'll usually be a combination of keys to do this.

Try Windows disc and go to Repair mode to fix corrupted windows files.

I think what you need is the DivX codec. Most DvD's won't play unless you have already installed it.
